Carswell CJ, et al. - This retrospective study aimed to investigate the clinical utility of amyloid-positron emission tomography (PET) imaging (API) with (18)F-florbetapir among patients in the memory clinic. While reducing the overall burden of examinations, API had a clear effect on the investigation of young-onset or complex dementia. It was found to be most useful in younger patients, atypical presentations or individuals with multiple possible causes of cognitive impairment.
