Teng X, et al. - The value of fecal calprotectin (FC) for early screening of the abdominal type of HenochÂSchonlein purpura (AHSP) in children is investigated in this study. Researchers came to the outcome that, the sensitivity of FC is superior to that of the traditional inflammation indicators C-reactive protein (CRP) and white blood cell (WBC) count, and it's diagnostic performance is better than WBC count; FC can be suitable as a new marker for the early diagnosis of AHSP.
