Mannil M, et al. - The aim with which the researchers performed this study is to develop a combined clinical and sonographic score to enhance prediction of acute appendicitis. Based on the findings, it is concluded that adding the axial diameter of the Appendix in a sonographic examination can improve the established modified Alvarado score for diagnosis of acute Appendicitis.
