Clinical predictors of proteinuric remission following an LN flare: Evidence from the UK JSLE cohort study

Pediatric Rheumatology Feb 26, 2018

Smith EMD, et al. - Experts herein evaluated when proteinuric remission occurred in patients with Juvenile-onset Systemic Lupus Erytematosus. They also assessed if the clinical/demographic factors at the beginning of LN influenced the time to proteinuric remission. Among children with LN, a significant proportion had on-going proteinuria approximately two years following their initial flare. Poor prognostic factors all at time of LN onset included younger age, low estimated glomerular filtration rate, and concomitant haematological involvement.
