Clinical predictors for satisfaction with incus vibroplasty: A preliminary study
European Archives of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology Dec 08, 2017
Han JJ, et al. - This research encompassed the investigation of the subjective satisfaction after incus vibroplasty along with the identification of the predictive factors influencing the patient satisfaction in sensorineural hearing loss. The potential predictive factors for subjective satisfaction with incus vibroplasty were revealed to be the age at operation and the preoperative air conduction threshold level at 250 Hz. A necessity arose for a more conservative selection of candidates and caution during surgery, taking into account the inevitable air–bone gap development postoperatively. The intent was to achieve higher satisfaction for incus vibroplasty.
