Clinical predictors for KRAS codon 13 mutations in patients with colorectal cancer
Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology Apr 26, 2018
Kwak MS, et al. - Researchers sought to describe sex differences in KRAS mutations and clinical predictors of KRAS 13 codon mutations. They analyzed 328 patients who had surgery for colorectal cancers (CRCs) for KRAS mutations between October 2007 and May 2016. As per outcomes, sex differences may influence the presentation of KRAS mutations. These mutations were noted to be more frequent among women and in right-sided CRC in men. A significant association of KRAS codon 13 mutations with high-plasma cholesterol was also identified.
