Clinical outcomes of hip arthroscopy in patients with systemic inflammatory diseases compared with matched controls at a minimum of 2-year follow-up
Arthroscopy May 07, 2020
Kouk S, Baron SL, Pham H, et al. - Researchers investigated postoperative outcomes and preoperative risk factors for patients with underlying systemic inflammatory disorders after hip arthroscopy. They performed a retrospective analysis of 20 patients (21 hip arthroscopy procedures) with a history of systemic inflammatory disease and 42 controls (patients with no history of systemic inflammatory disease). No significant difference was observed between patients with underlying inflammatory conditions and those with no history of inflammatory disease regarding 2-year outcomes after hip arthroscopy for intra-articular pathology.
