Clinical outcomes of arthroscopic suprascapular nerve decompression for suprascapular neuropathy
Arthroscopy Oct 22, 2020
Nolte PC, Woolson TE, Elrick BP, et al. - This study was sought to present clinical outcomes following arthroscopic suprascapular nerve (SSN) decompression for suprascapular neuropathy at the suprascapular and/or spinoglenoid notch in the absence of major concomitant pathology. Between April 2006 and August 2017, researchers retrospectively examined prospectively obtained data of 19 patients that had undergone SSN release at the suprascapular and/or spinoglenoid notch and were at least 2 years out from surgery. The data indicated that for suprascapular neuropathy, arthroscopic SSN decompression at the suprascapular and/or spinoglenoid notch in the absence of major concomitant glenohumeral pathology results in good functional outcomes with significant improvements from pre- to postoperatively.
