Werner BC, et al. - As per the recent biomechanical data, it was suggested that repairing the subscapularis during reverse shoulder arthroplasty can increase the force required by the posterior rotator cuff and deltoid to elevate the arm. In this current investigation, experts noted significantly less improvement in American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons scores among the subjects who underwent both subscapularis repair and glenosphere lateralization.
