Kaur A, et al. – In this study, clinical outcomes of 75 patients with dual colistin– and carbapenem–resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae bloodstream infections were retrospectively evaluated over a 5–year period in a single tertiary care hospital in India. Researchers identified high in–hospital mortality rate of 69.3%. Findings thereby highlighted the urgent need for new antibiotics to treat these infections.
