AIH with acute presentation appeared as a newly recognized disease entity for which diagnostic hallmarks, such as alanine transaminase (ALT), fibrosis, and antinuclear antibody (ANA), were warranted. Clinicians were cautioned to be mindful of disease relapse during patient care.
