Clinical features and prognosis of type II myocardial infarction in acutely decompensated diabetes patients

Hritani AW, et al. - This retrospective analysis was performed in order to evaluate the clinical management of type 2 myocardial infarction in patients with diabetic ketoacidosis or hyperosmolar hyperglycemic state. A greater risk of death and MACE was discovered in acutely decompensated diabetic patients with type 2 myocardial infarction. Additionally, these subjects could be at risk for undiagnosed coronary artery disease.
