Clinical efficacy of a chlorhexidine-based mouthrinse containing hyaluronic acid and an antidiscoloration system in patients undergoing flap surgery: A triple-blind, parallel-arm, randomized controlled trial
International Journal of Dental Hygiene Aug 16, 2018
Trombelli L, et al. - Authors assessed the postsurgery gingival healing along with plaque, gingival inflammation and staining levels after the use of a 0.2% chlorhexidine (CHX) solution with or without antidiscoloration system (ADS) and 0.2% hyaluronic acid (HA). Optimal plaque control and quality of early gingival healing, as well as limited tooth and tongue staining, were resulted by postsurgery plaque control based on either CHX or CHX + HA + ADS mouth rinses. At day 7, no other significant intergroup differences except for a significantly lower GI were seen in the CHX group.
