Stroke Feb 14, 2019
Enomoto M, et al. - Using a national administrative database, researchers carried out a retrospective observational study to assess the effectiveness of edaravone in patients with acute ischemic stroke treated by emergent endovascular reperfusion therapy. The identification and dichotomy of patients with acute ischemic stroke treated with emergent endovascular reperfusion therapy were determined by whether edaravone was used within 2 days. According to this retrospective analysis of a Japanese nationwide administrative database, a promising therapeutic strategy in acute ischemic stroke could be combination therapy with edaravone and endovascular reperfusion therapy.
