Clinical effect of radiotherapy combined with capecitabine after neoadjuvant therapy for rectal cancer
Journal of Oncology Jun 10, 2021
Zhang Q, et al. - Researchers assessed the clinical impact of radiotherapy combined with capecitabine in rectal cancer patients post-neoadjuvant therapy. Participants were 80 rectal cancer patients who received neoadjuvant therapy. These patients were split into the control group (n = 40) and experimental group (n = 40) based on the order of admission. Radiotherapy was administered to the control group. The experimental group received radiotherapy combined with capecitabine. According to findings, improved therapeutic efficacy with fewer adverse reactions and longer patients’ survival can be achieved by administering radiotherapy combined with capecitabine in rectal cancer patients post-neoadjuvant therapy.
