Clinical course and prognosis of non-secretory multiple myeloma

European Journal of Haematology Aug 03, 2018

Chawla SS, et al. - The prognosis of patients with non-secretory myeloma was determined via analyzing 124 multiple myeloma patients who had no monoclonal protein detected on serum and urine immunofixation at diagnosis and on all follow up testing (non-secretory myeloma). Researchers identified non-secretory myeloma as an uncommon subtype of multiple myeloma. Among patients diagnosed between 2001-2012, overall survival of non-secretory myeloma patients is improved, and appears superior to secretory myeloma.
