Journal of Pain and Symptom Management Dec 04, 2019
Huang Z, Su X, Diao Y, et al. - A retrospective analysis of the national and regional consumption of opioid analgesics in mainland China during 2006-2016 was carried out in order to investigate the clinical intake, determine the requirements of pain treatment, and assess the sufficiency of opioid analgesics intake in mainland China and its seven regions. For the treatment of moderate to severe pain, the clinical intake of opioid analgesics in mainland China was far below the international level. In less developed areas, the Annual per capita of clinical consumption was more moderate, and the capacity of cancer pain treatment was worse. Hence, all these findings call for activities to establish pain management.
