Clinical characteristics and thrombosis outcomes of paediatric antiphospholipid syndrome: Analysis of 58 patients
Clinical Rheumatology Apr 27, 2018
Ma J, et al. - Authors evaluated the clinical and immunological manifestations of paediatric antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) in patients, based on the 2006 revised classification criteria of definite APS. Findings suggested the deep vein thrombosis to be the most common thrombotic event. The risk of venous thrombosis could be increased by the positive LA. The proportion of thrombosis was not increased by the multiple-antiphospholipid (aPL) positivity. In order to prevent thrombosis recurrence in double- or triple-positive aPL cases, long-term anticoagulant or antiplatelet therapy was required.
