Steuer AB, et al. - Researchers aimed to better describe the clinical presentation and to determine potentially successful therapies for idiopathic (chronic) granulomatous mastitis (IGM) in this descriptive case series. IGM is identified as a rare breast condition that may resemble bacterial abscesses, malignant neoplasms, and various other breast diseases. Suspected cases should be thoroughly evaluated to exclude other causes, and heightened suspicion is recommended in diagnosing this often underrecognized condition.
