Clinical and ultrasound remission after 6 months of treat-to-target therapy in early rheumatoid arthritis: Associations to future good radiographic and physical outcomes
Annals of Rheumatic Diseases Sep 18, 2018
Sundlisæter NP, et al. - In early rheumatoid arthritis (RA), experts explored the relationships between remission (based on clinical and ultrasound definitions) and future good radiographic and physical outcome. Based on 44 joints, American College of Rheumatology/European League Against Rheumatism Boolean remission was seen as the preferred treatment target in early RA. Findings suggested an association between lack of ultrasound inflammation and no radiographic progression. An association of all clinical, but not ultrasound remission criteria with achievement of a good outcome was noted.
