Price JP, et al. - Experts aimed to compare the clinical results and radiographic outcomes of minimally invasive surgery (MIS) with the open techniques for transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF). Comparable clinical and radiologic outcomes were presented by the MIS TLIF and open TLIF. MIS TLIF produced the benefits of decreased intraoperative blood losses, shorter operative times, shorter hospital stays, and fewer deep wound infections.
