Romain AS, et al. - Researchers here delineate GBS meningitis in children less than 1-year-old in France during 2001-2014. In the era of intravenous antibiotic prophylaxis (IAP), incidence of early-onset GBS meningitis has decreased, however, there appears an increase in the incidence of late-onset disease [LOD]. Findings thereby highlight the interest for the development of effective GBS vaccines for pregnant women.
