Clinical and immunohistochemical comparative study of the efficacy of carboxytherapy vs platelet-rich plasma in treatment of stretch marks
Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology Apr 18, 2018
Hodeib AA, et al. - Authors assessed and compared the effectiveness and safety of carboxytherapy vs platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in the treatment of stretch marks. As per data, safety and effectiveness were demonstrated by both the methods with minimal side effects. Both methods of treatments were not significantly different. Fibronectin expression which was found to be low in striae and increased significantly after treatment histopathologically confirmed it. But compared to group (A) (PRP injection in their right side), fibronectin expression was higher in group (B) (carboxytherapy session in their left side).
