Clinical and biomechanical changes following a four-month toe-out gait modification program for people with medial knee osteoarthritis: A randomized controlled trial

Hunt MA, et al. - Experts compared the changes in knee pain, function, and loading after a 4-month progressive walking program with or without toe-out gait modification program in people with medial tibiofemoral knee osteoarthritis. As per data, however, improvements in self-reported pain and function were reported by both the groups, only the toe-out group experienced biomechanical improvements. Compared to the progressive walking group at follow-up, significantly greater changes in foot progression angle, late stance KAM and KAM impulse were demonstrated by the toe-out group.
