Takeda A, et al. - Radiation pneumonitis is a critical pulmonary toxicity after irradiation of the lung. Whether clarithromycin (CAM) mitigated radiation pneumonitis following stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) for lung cancer, was investigated. It was shown that administration of CAM resulted in mitigation of radiation pneumonitis following SBRT.
