Circulating retinol binding protein 4 levels in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Zhou Z, et al. - This meta-analysis is to ascertain if nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and simple steatosis (SS) patients have altered retinol binding protein 4 (RBP4) levels. The current study showed that the circulating RBP4 levels may not be related to NAFLD. To affirm these findings, further prospective cohort studies are required.
