Circulating exosomal miR-27a and miR-130a act as novel diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers of colorectal cancer
Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention May 15, 2018
Wang S, et al. - Whether or not specific circulating exosomal miRNAs could act as biomarkers for early diagnosis of colorectal cancer (CRC) was investigated. Researchers included a total of 369 peripheral blood samples in this study. They selected circulating exosomal miR-27a and miR-130a in the discovery phase after synthetical analysis of two GEO datasets and TCGA database. The exosomal miR-27a and miR-130a panel for the detection of CRC was identified that may act as a non-invasive biomarker for early detection and predicting prognosis of CRC.
