Shalom G, et al. – The link between chronic urticaria (CU) and metabolic syndrome and its components were assessed as a part of this research, in a large community–based medical database. The results revealed that CU patients could present with either one or more undiagnosed components of metabolic syndrome despite their young age. An appropriate targeted screening was, therefore, advised.
