Chromatin organization as an indicator of glucocorticoid induced natural killer cell dysfunction

Brain, Behavior, and Immunity Sep 21, 2017

Misale MS, et al. - This study explored the impact of glucocorticoids on natural killer cell chromatin organization and the link between chromatin organization and natural killer cell effector function, e.g. interferon gamma production. Findings showed glucocorticoids to dysregulate natural killer cell function at least in part through altered H3K27me3 nuclear organization. Additionally, glucocorticoid induced immune dysregulation of natural killer cells was found to be predicted by H3K27me3 chromatin organization.
