Pavez L, et al. - The authors aimed to examine whether chitosan-triclosan particles modulated inflammatory signaling in gingival fibroblasts. They demonstrated that in gingival fibroblasts, chitosan-triclosan particles were able to modulate the inflammatory response. In the prevention and/or treatment of inflammation in periodontal diseases, this effect could be useful.
