Song D, et al. - The target of this research was to investigate the efficacy of chimeric thoracoacromial artery perforator flap (TAAP) for one-staged reconstruction of complex pharyngoesophageal defects. It was deduced that when free tissue transfer was contraindicated or neck vessels were depleted, this technique presented as an innovative local alternative solution for the reconstruction of complex circumferential hypopharyngeal defects.
