Children with chronic pain: Response trajectories following intensive pain rehabilitation treatment
The Journal of Pain Nov 08, 2017
Simons LE, et al. - Researchers in this work aimed at presenting trajectories of pain and functional impairment in patients with chronic pain up to one year after intensive pain rehabilitation and examine baseline factors associated with treatment response. Multinominal regression analyses suggested that older age, higher pain scores, fewer social difficulties, higher anxiety levels, and lower readiness to change were characteristics that distinguished nonresponders from responders. They identified no significant predictors that distinguished the late responders from the early responders. Findings seemed to have implications for developing more targeted treatment interventions.
