Children’s dental fear and anxiety: Exploring family related factors

Wu L, et al. - The relationship between children’s dental fear and anxiety (DFA) and family-related factors, including parents’ DFA, parenting styles, family structure (nuclear or single-parent family), and presence of siblings was gauged in this study. The average age of the patients included in the study was 9–13 years. As per data, the significant determinants for children’s DFA were the family structure (nuclear or single-parent family) and presence of siblings. No significant impact of the parental DFA and parenting style on children’s DFA was seen.
