American Journal of Medicine Dec 13, 2017
Pimple P, et al. - The authors attempted to analyze the existence of variation in the link between mental stress-induced myocardial ischemia (MSIMI) and angina burden, among women and men. The anginal symptoms could serve as a marker of vulnerability towards ischemia induced by psychological stress in women but not in men. Hence, the psychosocial origins of angina in women was underscored in this trial. This possibly presented significant implications for the management and prognosis of women with angina.
