Chest high-resolution computed tomography is associated to short-time progression to severe disease in patients with covid-19 pneumonia
Clinical Imaging Oct 28, 2020
Cereser L, Da Re J, Zuiani C, et al. - The present study was conducted to evaluate if high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) is correlated with the short-time development of severe disease in patients with COVID-19 pneumonia. Researchers included a total of 77 consecutive patients (mean age, 64 ± 15 years) with mild COVID-19 pneumonia (no or mild respiratory failure) that had undergone HRCT. It was shown that Short-time onset of severe COVID-19 was correlated with total lung involvement > 15 and OP pattern score > 5. There was no association between severe disease and comorbidities.
