Jafarzadeh SR, et al. - The authors sought to assess if the subjects experiencing substantial weight loss after undergoing bariatric surgery or medical management for obesity, demonstrated changes in innervated knee structures or in cartilage. Findings demonstrated that the structural features changed little over a year and weight loss was not related to the impacts on structural changes in middle-aged persons with mostly mild radiographic osteoarthritis.
