Changes in pulmonary artery systolic pressure and right ventricular function in patients with end-stage renal disease on maintenance dialysis
Nephrology Oct 25, 2017
Santosh S, et al. - This study was designed to assess the over time alterations in pulmonary artery systolic pressure (PASP) and right ventricular function in patients on maintenance dialysis. Researchers also aimed to predict PASP change using clinical variables routinely available at time of initial measurement in these subjects. An over time increase in PASP was noted among patients with end-stage renal disease and the changes were moderately predictable. In addition, the development of right ventricular dysfunction was predicted by higher PASP.
