JAMA Pediatrics Oct 13, 2019
Tormohlen KN, et al. - In this investigation, researchers studied variations in modes of marijuana consumption among high school students in Colorado from 2015 to 2017. Among adolescents, smoking was the most common mode of marijuana consumption, however, nonsmoking modes, such as ingesting, vaporizing, and dabbing, had developed in regard to legalization. Each consumption mode has different effects that can be correlated with distinct health effects. Previous research in Colorado described smoking as the most widely used mode of marijuana consumption among high school students and found that the prevalence of marijuana mainly consumed decreased after retail marijuana sales were introduced.
