Taduru SS, et al. – This study examined the predictive utility of CHA₂DS₂VASc score for thromboembolic stroke in patients with cardiac aneurysms (CA) without atrial fibrillation (AF). Findings demonstrated an association of CHA₂DS₂VASc score with higher risk of thromboembolic stroke in patients with CA even in the absence of AF. Furthermore, data highlighted that CHA₂DS₂VASc score displayed similar discriminatory capacity in CA population when compared to AF population previously reported.
