Journal of Cardiac Failure Aug 19, 2017
Taduru SS, et al. – This study examined the predictive utility of CHA2DS2VASc score for thromboembolic stroke in patients with cardiac aneurysms (CA) without atrial fibrillation (AF). Findings demonstrated an association of CHA2DS2VASc score with higher risk of thromboembolic stroke in patients with CA even in the absence of AF. Furthermore, data highlighted that CHA2DS2VASc score displayed similar discriminatory capacity in CA population when compared to AF population previously reported.
