Cervical consistency index and risk of cesarean delivery after induction of labor at term
Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology Oct 22, 2018
Migliorelli F, et al. - In this observational prospective study, researchers investigated whether there was an association between cervical consistency index (CCI) and the risk of cesarean delivery after planned induction of labor (IOL). Participants in the study were 510 women admitted for IOL. Results of this study suggested that CCI did not appear to be related to the risk of cesarean delivery after IOL. As per multivariate analysis, an absence of the statistical relationship between CCI and the mode of delivery was noted.
