Cerebrospinal fluid clearance in Alzheimer's disease measured with dynamic PET
The Journal of Nuclear Medicine Sep 16, 2017
de Leon MJ, et al. - Researchers investigated 3 hypotheses: extracranial cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is detected at the superior turbinates; CSF clearance is reduced in Alzheimer disease (AD); and CSF clearance is inversely associated with amyloid deposition. The outcomes higlighted that PET-measured CSF clearance is a biomarker of potential interest in AD and other neurodegenerative diseases.
