Cerebrospinal fluid B-lymphocyte chemoattractant CXCL13 in the diagnosis of acute Lyme neuroborreliosis in children
The Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal Nov 22, 2017
Barstad B, et al. - Researchers aspired to describe the diagnostic value of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) CXCL13 in children with symptoms suggestive of Lyme neuroborreliosis (LNB). CSF CXCL13 was discovered to be a sensitive marker of LNB in children. The specificity to discriminate LNB from non-Lyme aseptic meningitis possibly appeared to be more moderate. It data recommended that CSF CXCL13 ought to be used alongside other variables in diagnosing LNB in children.
