Cementless total knee arthroplasty in knee osteonecrosis demonstrated excellent survivorship and outcomes at 3-year minimum follow-up
Journal of Arthroplasty Oct 30, 2017
Sultan AA, et al. - This study entailed the evaluation of primary cementless total knee arthroplasty (TKA) as a treatment option for knee osteonecrosis, primarily focusing on implant survivorship, clinical outcomes, complications, and radiographic outcomes. Researchers found that primary cementless TKA afforded excellent implant survivorship, clinical, and radiographic outcomes in the setting of knee osteonecrosis. For the validation of survivorship, further long-term study is required but new generation cementless TKA implants offer promising outcomes in this subset of patients.
