Mukthinuthalapati PK, et al. - Researchers performed this study to describe and examine the salient features of published cases of celecoxib drug-induced liver injury (DILI). In published reports of celecoxib DILI, women were found to be overrepresented. In most patients, latency was short (<3 mo) but some subjects could present with DILI following prolonged celecoxib use. Celecoxib-DILI (although rare) could have potentially life-threatening consequences.
