Komech EA, et al. - In healthy donors and ankylosing spondylitis (AS) patients, the repertoire of T cell receptor (TCR) sequences was investigated by the experts to uncover AS-linked TCR variants. Findings revealed that in AS pathogenesis, a particular antigen-specific subset of CD8⁺ T cells was involved. The high resemblance of the clonotypes to the ones found in ReA implied common mechanisms for the commencement of the diseases.
