CD70 expression in tumor-associated fibroblasts predicts worse survival in colorectal cancer patients
Virchows Archiv Apr 19, 2019
Inoue S, et al. - Data were researched to investigate the clinical usage and application of CD70–CD27 axis modulating drugs in colorectal cancers (CRCs) cases. They noted the rare expression of CD70 in CRC tumor cells whereas various CD70 expressions (fCD70) (14.9%) were presented in tumor-surrounding fibroblasts. A significant association of fCD70 expression with incomplete resection status was reported in the logistic regression analysis. A significant decrease in overall survival was noticed in the cohort of the candidates with the fCD70-positive tumor. They significantly detected more CD27+ tumor-associated lymphocytes within the primary CRCs without metastases.
