CCDC85B promotes non-small cell lung cancer cell proliferation and invasion
Molecular Carcinogenesis Sep 27, 2018
Feng Y, et al. - Researchers evaluated expression patterns and functions of coiled-coil domain containing 85 B (CCDC85B) in human cancers. They found a significantly higher expression of CCDC85B in the cytoplasm of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tumor cells vs adjacent normal lung tissues. Correlation of CCDC85B expression with advanced TNM stage and positive regional lymph node metastasis of NSCLC was also observed. Overall, CCDC85B, via promoting the proliferation and infiltration of lung cancer cells via activated AKT/GSK3β/β-catenin oncogenic signaling pathway, was linked with NSCLC progression. Therefore, CCDC85B might serve as a novel target for NSCLC treatment.
