Chen C, et al. - The clinical outcomes of catheter ablation (CA) vs medical therapy in persistent atrial fibrillation (AF) patients were assessed. Compared with medical therapy, CA appeared to be superior in persistent AF patients. Furthermore, for some persistent AF patients especially for those with heart failure, CA might be considered as a first-line therapy.
