Case finding and therapy for chronic viral hepatitis in primary care (HepFREE): A cluster-randomized controlled trial

The Lancet: Gastroenterology & Hepatology Dec 12, 2018

Flanagan S, et al. - The cluster-randomized controlled trial from Oct 31, 2013, to Feb 4, 2017, studied if incentivizing and supporting primary-care physicians in areas of UK with a high density of migrants increased the estimates of adult migrants screened for viral hepatitis. The screening was observed efficient in primary care if doctors were incentivized and supported. Community cares were found overpriced and offered no benefits. They suggested that bespoke invitation letters should not be used and outreach, community-based services for migrants should not be formed.
