Felix AS et al. - As reported in the current study,even though some CVD risk factors are more common in women with endometrial carcinoma versus without endometrial carcinoma, CVD mortality was lower among the former group.

Methods
CVD mortality was determined among 552 women with endometrial carcinoma from the Iowa Women's Health Study compared with 2352 age- and body mass index-matched women without endometrial carcinoma.

Results
Women with endometrial carcinoma had histories of diabetes, hypertension, and never smoking more often than women without endometrial carcinoma. Wome with endometrial carcinoma had lower CVD mortality (HR = 0.75) and higher all-cause mortality (HR = 1.50) than women without endometrial carcinoma.
